Blues musician: Piano. Reportedly blind, known for playing boogie-woogie piano in Memphis Beale Street joints.

Born 19 November 1887 at Memphis, son of George W. Abernathy and Louise Humble.

He apparently married first 24 January 1907 at Shelby County, Tennessee to Allie Berry. He then married 12 September 1916 also at Shelby County to Mary Adella Collins.

By 1930 he was divorced, living in Chicago in the household of his brother-in-law Frank Harris and his wife Edith Harris.

At his death in 1957, he was living in Chicago at 4407 S. State Street and widowed.
