Ridge G. Violett, 62, passed away Monday, May 4, 2015 at Unity Point Hospice Taylor House. He was born March 4, 1953 in Des Moines to George and Peggy (Hume) Violett. Ridge worked at Goodwin-Tucker for 30 years.
Ridge is survived by his wife, Teresa; children, Cameron, Cady, Chanetell Violett-Hansen and Matt Bruce; grandchildren, Jacoby Violett and Tanner Bruce; mother, Peggy Violett; brothers, Cory (Ruth) and Kipp (Lisa) Violett; his former spouse, Linda; and a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, George; wife, Wendy; and son, David.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Wakonda Christian Church, 3938 Fleur Drive. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Ridge will be laid to rest at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League or Wakonda Christian Church.
