Son of Henry & Ann (Blackman) Bevington.

He married Frances Scott (daughter of George Scott the Irish immigrant) on September 20, 1810, in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. She died on May 27, 1869, in Wayne County, Ohio.

John Bevington was the son of Henry and Ann Bevington. He was born in in New York but moved to Beaver County, PA as a young man. He died in Defiance County, Ohio.

John was married to Francis Scott on 20 Sep 1810.

According to a biographical sketch written by his son, Dr. Harvey S. Bevington, John and Francis "remained in Pennsylvania several years after their marriage, but moved to Wayne Co., Ohio, where they settled in the wilderness" and raised 9 children, including my 2nd great-grandfather Samuel.
