DUMAS - Joey Jay Slagle, 43, died Sunday, June 11, 2006, in Climax Springs, Mo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Bethel Assembly of God Church with the Rev. H.L. Stevens, retired Assembly of God minister, and the Rev. Rex Kreusel of Bethel Assmebly of God Church officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors.

Mr. Slagle was born Dec. 29, 1962, in Dumas. He was a self-employed mechanic and carpenter. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Penny; a son, Ryan Edward Ferguson of Dumas; his parents, Floyd and Mollie Tipton of Dumas; two sisters, Kela Kerns and Bobbye Faris, both of Dumas; and a grandson, Pearson Joel Ferguson of Dumas.
