Mr. Derr was a former employee of the Elizabethton Housing Agency. He attended East River Park Christian Church and enjoyed fishing and spending time with family.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife of 26 years, Betty Presley Derr, of the home; five daughters, Heather Sherer and husband Will, GA, Jessica Harrell and husband, Eric Guy, Elizabethton, Bobbie Derr, Codi Derr, and Erica Deer, all of the home; one son, Brandon Derr, of the home; several grandchildren; two sisters, Sherrie D’Angelo, Bristol, TN, and Marta Mohr, Texas City, TX; and four brothers, Denny Derr and Dale Derr, both of Osseo, Michigan, Darrell Derr, Hillsdale, Michigan, and Jimmy Dean Derr, Hudson, Michigan. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
