Lillian T. Finnel, age 97, of Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, May 06, 2015.

The daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Lodel was born June 8, 1917 in Carlton, Wisconsin. On September 28, 1946, she married Bernard Finnel at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Tisch Mills.

Lillian enjoyed gardening, sewing, making rye bread, being a 4-H leader and was an active church member; working with the Rosary Society for funeral luncheons, cleaning the church and teaching Catechism.

Survivors include her three daughters: Sharon (Wayne) Jirovetz of Green Bay, Linda (Brock) DeVoe of Sullivan, and Chris (Brad) Englebert of Mishicot; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a son-in-law: Brad Hoard of Two Rivers and a sister: Rose Steinhorst of Denmark.

In addition to her husband, Bernard, she was preceded in death by a son, Larry Finnel, a daughter, Judy Hoard; a sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Red Whitney and a brother: George Lodel.

Friends may call at St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church, Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Site, 18424 Tisch Mills Road, Tisch Mills, on Friday, May 8, 2015, from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dennis Drury officiating. Burial will follow Mass in the church cemetery.

Cotter Funeral Home, Denmark, is assisting the family.

The family would like to extend a warm thank you to the caregivers at Bishop’s Court and Unity Hospice for their care and concern.
