Janice Lea Haines Lanman, 53, died February 10, 2014 at her home in Sigourney, Iowa. She was born April 27, 1960 to John and Grace Messerschmitt Haines in Sigourney. She attended Sigourney High School. She was employed at the Townhouse Café and Jenny's Café in Sigourney. On June 6, 2005 she married Jimmy Lanman.

She was preceded in death by her father, two brothers Richard and John Haines.

She is survived by her husband Jimmy Lanman of Sigourney, a daughter Amber DeVooght of Sigourney, a son Cory DeVooght of Marengo, four step-sons James Lanman of Sigourney, Matthew Lanman, Dustin Lanman, Austin Lanman all of Hedrick; her mother Grace Haines of Sigourney, and nine grandchildren, four sisters Mary Hollingsworth of Galva, Illinois, Frances Schropp of Williamsburg, Joan Hodgson of Grinnell, and Jean Harris of What Cheer.
