Dorothy L. Chalmers, 90, died at 1:10 PM Monday, March 7, 2002, at George Davis Manor, West Lafayette. Born March 11, 1911, at Norwalk, OH, she had lived at Citris Spring, FL, and at Frankfort, before coming to Lafayette four years ago. She and Kenny Chalmers were married on August 6, 1934; he died April 3, 1993.
Mrs. Chalmers graduated from the University of Michigan in 1933. She was a secretary to the dean of the graduate school at Kent State University for several years before retiring.
Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Chalmers; four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son, Robert Chalmers.
