Death of Mr. W. O. Sharpe. After a lingering invalidism of many years, and a more serious illness of a few weeks, this old and highly esteemed citizen died of consumption of the bowels, at his residence in West Point, on Saturday last, about noon. His last hours were consoled by the presence of all his children, (one of whom, Mr. E. R. Sharpe, is editor of the Carrollton Times.) and by the faithful administrations of neighbors and friends,. His remains were buried in Pine Grove Cemetery on Sunday afternoon. Rev. P. M. Ryburn officiating.
Mr. Sharpe removed to this section from South Carolina many years ago. Until recently he resided in Chambers county, about two miles from town. He was 59 years of age.
