Annese, Anthony J. Of Saugus, March 10. Beloved husband of Annette M. (Ventura) for almost 50 years. Son of the late Mary (Mastrodomenica) and Pasquale Annese. Dear and devoted father of Laura Annese of Saugus and her friend, Robbie, Linda Annese of Saugus and Robert A. Annese and his wife, Rhonda of Peabody. Loving grandfather of Gianna and Derek Annese. Brother of the late S.Sgt. Louis, Peter, Henry, Mary and Anna Annese, and Eleanor Berardino. Dear cousin of Louis Annese of Tewksbury and uncle to many loving nieces and nephews. Anthony is survived by 2 siblings, Patricia Piotti and Joseph Annese. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Anthony's Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 758 Salem St., Lynnfield, Friday, March 13 at 10 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

Late retired 30 year employee with Polaroid Corp. as a supervisor in HVAC; and was also retired from Liberty Mutual Company in HVAC and Boston Sports Club.

Tony, a Bronze Star recipient, served with the 78th Infantry Lightning Division, Canon Co. 309 Infantry Regiment, U.S. Army under Gen. Bernard Montgomery and Gen. Omar Bradley from July 1, 1943 to March 18, 1946. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge, North of St. Vith, Belgium and he was part of the 1st Infantry Division to cross the Remagen Bridge over the Rhine.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Anthony's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, 150 Cambridge Park Dr., Ste. 202, Cambridge, MA 02140 would be sincerely appreciated. Arrangements by the: Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home Everett 617-387-3120
