Born in Bridgeport to the late Ray and Florence McCann Wheeler, she was a lifelong Stratford resident. Lois graduated from Colby College in New Hampshire and worked in the medical field for three area doctors, was on the Board of Directors for the Stratford VNA and on the Vestry of Trinity Episcopal Church in Trumbull.
Survivors besides her husband are a son, Richard Watson and his wife, Kristin of Shelton; a daughter, Deborah Mackay of Stratford; three grandchildren, Carrie Watson, Lauren and Emily Mackay. A daughter, Linda Watson, formerly of Ansonia, predeceased Lois in September 2008.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday August 1, 2009 at 11:00 am in the Trinity Episcopal Church, 1734 Huntington Turnpike, Nichols section of Trumbull. Donations in Lois's memory may be made to a charity of choice.
