Eloise Ann Golden was born on May 31, 1957, at the Naval Hospital in Great Lakes, IL. She was 57 years old when she passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015. She spent her younger years traveling around the world with her parents, Carl and Theresa Montoya; and siblings, Mary, Donald, Rita and John. Her experiences with different cultures helped shape the beautiful, incredible and worldly woman she was.

As a young girl, Eloise started her pursuit of spreading happiness and peace. She joined the Girl Scouts as a teenager and helped with Girl Scouts her entire life. She organized events and traveled the world to different locations where she would meet with girls from over 50 different countries, promoting empowerment of girls and women everywhere.

When she was young, she began to grace the world with her voice. When she was a teenager she took the liberty to pick up the guitar and start singing. She started singing with her angelic voice in churches as a teenager and continued her passion all of her life singing for Mass and for friends and family whenever possible. After completing high school in Buckinghamshire, England, she moved to Colorado. She graduated from Colorado School of Mines with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering. After graduating, Eloise moved to Arizona where she began her career as a Metallurgist. She worked as a Metallurgical Engineer for 19 years, living in Alaska, Arizona, and Nevada. She was an expert in the extraction of copper and gold from ore. Eventually, she made a career change and became a successful restaurant owner of the The Chuckho le Café in Grand Lake, CO.

She moved to Fresno, CA, in 2006, where she married Patrick Golden. Eloise learned and became the manager for his medical practice. Eloise had a lust for life and loved reaching out, encouraging people to feel the same way. She loved photography, gardening, reading, learning, outdoor life, playing guitar, and singing.

She spent her time working as a manager for the office, or performing community services for those organizations she loved most including Girl Scouts, Fresno Women's Network, and St. Agnes Mission Church in Pinedale.
She will always be remembered for her loving spirit, tenacity, and happy go lucky attitude.

She is survived by her children, Michael Nelson, Christopher Nelson, Jonathan Nelson, Tanya Nelson, Elliott Golden, and Ariel Golden; and her husband, Patrick Golden MD. She is also survived by her father, Carl Montoya; and siblings, Mary Nelson, Donald Montoya, and John Montoya.
