Fisher Man, 87 Dies in Emporium
CLARION- Edwin A. Schrecengost 87, of Fisher died at 8am Monday at Emporium.
He was born November 9, 1882, in Yatesboro, a son of Samuel znd Mary Schrecengost.
His wife Anna Elizabeth Schrecengost, preceded him in death.
Mr. Schrecengost was a carpenter. He was a member of the Fisher United Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by one son, Ernest Schrecengost of Emporium; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Shaw (sic) of Fort Worth Tex. and Mrs. Wilda Sowers of Kittanning; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Gerald L. Goble Funeral Home in Clarion.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Thursday at the Fisher United Presbyterian Church with Rev. Boyd A. Bell, pastor of the church officiating.
Removal will be made from the funeral home to the church for viewing from noon until time of services on Thursday. Internment will be in Fisher Presbyterian Cemetery.
Note: Daughter Hazel Schall had 5 children, so he had at least 18 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild in 1970. He lived alone near Strattanville, PA since about 1945. He is where we inherited our "hoarding gene". For those cousins who track things, he also had blue eyes.
