She worked in doctor's offices as a receptionist, bookkeeper and payroll clerk for over 40 years and retired at age 89.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Gertrude Kassel; husband, Earl; brother, Edward; and sister-in-law, Betty Kassel. She is survived by her great-nephews, Michael and Matthew Kassel of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and great-niece Kimberly Kassel of Glen Carbon, Ill.
Grace was a kind and gracious lady that always found the good in people. She had a witty sense of humor that made you chuckle, smile and warmed your heart. Grace liked going out to dinner, water aerobics, visiting with her friends and playing slot machines.
A special thanks to her family, all her friends, including those from church and aerobic water classes and the wonderful people from Nathan Adelson Hospice that made her final journey as pleasant and comfortable as possible. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral mass will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 19 at St. John Neumann in North Las Vegas. In lieu of flowers, donations for masses in Grace's name would be preferred.
