Sevices for Lillian Juliette Lavoie McCord, 71, of Plains were held Monday, October 26, at the First Baptist Church in Tahoka with the Rev. Glen Harlin, Baptist minister of Plains, officiating. Harold Green of Tahoka delivered the eulogy.

Burial was in the Tahoka Cemetery under direction of White Funeral Home.

Mrs. McCord died Saturday in Brownfield Regional Medical Center after a long illness.

She was born in Concord, New Hampshire September 21, 1910, and moved to Lynn County in 1934. She graduated from Nortre Dame School of Nursing in 1932 and worked as a school nurse in the Tahoka and O'Donnell school system.

She married Rollin McCord June 26, 1934, in New Hampshire. He died in 1966. Mrs. McCord moved to California in 1968 and to Plains in 1977.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Jane Norman of Plains; a son, Rollin Jr. of Oklahoma City, three sisters, Anita York and Erlene Pell, both of Cloverdale, California, and Bee Geoffrion of DelRay Beach Florida, four brothers, Louis Lavoie of Shaftsbury, Vermont, Leo Lavoie of Dover, New Hampshire, Bertrand Lavoie of Collegeville, Pennsylvania, and Donald Lavoie of Monroe, New York; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were Raymond Bagby Jr., Darrell Barron, Jim Barron, Jerry Brown, Jerome Head and Macky Sappington.

The family suggests memorials to Texas Boys Ranch.
