Miss June Kay Taylor, age 75 of Mayfield, Ky passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at 10:42 AM at her residence.

June was born west of Wingo, Ky on June 16, 1939. She graduated from Wingo High School in 1957. Later she attended Mid Continent College. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mayfield, Ky. She began her Christian life at Little Obion Baptist Church and later spent many years at the Wingo Baptist Church where she taught children, teens, and young women in Vacation Bible School and Sunday School, she also served as Sunday School and Church Secretary, in addition she played the piano at Wingo Baptist Church for several years. She first worked at Henry I Siegel clothing factory in Fulton, Ky and then Curlee Clothing in Mayfield, Ky. In 1977 she went to work at Mid-Continent University and retired in 2007.

She is survived by one sister- Jennie Ruth Sanders of Mayfield, Ky; two nieces- Marvena (Bob) Burrows of Alpharetta, Ga and Rushelle (Mark) Bowie of Pittsfield, Ma; two nephews- Brent (Karen) Sanders of Columbia, Mo and Russ (Suzie) Sanders of Clovis, Ca; 3 great-nephews, four great-nieces, 3 great-great nephews, and five great-great nieces; 2 aunts- Glynda M. Mullins of Mayfield, Ky and Jackie S. Mullins of Benton, Ky; several cousins also survive; her special friends- Rusty C. Jones of Seattle, Wa, Sarah Jones (DaWaun) Patterson and Jada Lee of Ft. Brag, Nc; Josh Jones of Seattle, Wa, and Jennifer (Ricky) Willis, Luke, and Zack of Mayfield, Ky.

She was preceded in death by her parents- Milton & Mellie Mullins Taylor, and her brother-in-law- Charles Larry “Chuck” Sanders.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, Ky with Dr. Randal T. Pollock and Rev. Wes Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Obion Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 PM on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, Ky.

Pallbearers will be Bro. David Bayor, Bro. Chris Clark, Lanny Wiman, Tim Cook, Gary Davis, and Tim Blalock.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church in Mayfield, 118 W. South Street, Mayfield, Ky 42066
