Isabel M Silva- Isabel "Billie" M (Innes) Silva, who operated the Silva Farms along with her husband for many years dies Saturday, May 29, 1999, at Oakhill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 88.
She was the wife of the late John P Silva.
Born in Prince Edward Island, Canada, Mrs. Silva was the daughter of Robert L. and Margaret (Lapthorn) Innes. She immigrated in 1911 the year of her birth. She was educated in Bridgewater and Halifax, Prince Edward Island schools. She had lived at Oakhill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for five-and-a-half years.
Mrs. Silva had been a foster mother during the 1950s and 1960s.
She attended St. John's Episcopal Church in Taunton.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Cowen of Middleboro; four grandchildren;two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late David Chase and the sister of the late Harold Innes, Doris Waters, Alice Aseph, Margaret Pineo and Ruth Souardar.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Marshall Funeral Home, 116 School St., Taunton. Burial will be in Melrose Cemetery.
