Rachel F. Uvaro passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2006, after a years challenge with illness. She was born in the Bronx, NY on Sep tember 18, 1915. She attended Mt. St. Ursula High School and graduated with a B.A. from Hunter College in 1936 and later received a teaching certifi cate for New York City Schools. Rachel is sur vived by Dr. Francis Uvaro, her husband of 64 years; her son, Carl Uvaro and his wife, Kathy, of Cocoa Beach and her daughter, Michelle Colangelo of Indian Harbour Beach. She is also survived by four grandchil dren, Jason and Taj Uvaro of Cocoa Beach, Jamie and Ashley Colangelo of Indian Harbour Beach; and one great-grandchild, Logan Colangelo, also of Indian Harbour Beach. Rachel and Frank retired to Cocoa Beach, Florida in 1982, while still enjoying summers in Hampton Bays, NY. Rachel was active in the Garden Club, Newcomers Club and played bridge weekly with friends. Rachel was dedicated primarily to her loving hus band and family. Rachel was an active member of the Church of Our Saviour Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Thursday June 15, 2006, at Church of Our Saviour in Cocoa Beach. Interment will follow in Our Saviours Memorial Garden.
