Funeral services were held at the LaFollette Methodist Church at 2 p.m., January 16 for Mrs. Ollie Russell who died January 12 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Melton Estep, in Middlesboro, Ky. Rev. E. C. Berwanger conducted services. The body was brought to the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. B. Jackson, in LaFollette.
Mrs. Russell, who was 79, is survived by her daughters, Mrs. L. L. Archer of Alcoa, Mrs. H. B. Jackson of LaFollette, Mrs. Henry Grazier of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. R. P. Wright of Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Ben Ziegler of Richland, Washington, and Mrs. Melton Estep of Middlesboro. Four sons, Oris, Roy, and Clyde of Akron, Ohio, and John Jr. of Los Angeles; 23 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Claiborne and Mrs. Mollie Childress of LaFollette, and Mrs. Maggie Stewart of Akron, Ohio; and one brother, James Childress of Downers Grove, Ill.
The following grandsons were pallbearers: H. B. Jackson, Jr., Dan James, Chuck Wright, Donald Wright, Dewitt Russell, Luther Cole, Alfred Slagle, and Morris Archer.
