Frances A. “Frannie” Gamblian, 54, of Parsons passed away at 1:41 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.

She was born Nov. 14, 1960, in Parsons to Jimmie Eugene and Ann Marie (Fish) Gamblian. She grew up and attended school in Parsons, where she was a 1979 graduate of Parsons High School. She then attended Labette Community College, where she studied nursing.

Through the years, Frannie worked as a certified nursing assistant at Parsons Presbyterian Manor and Parsons Good Samaritan Society.

She attended Parsons Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed crocheting, making jewelry, working word search puzzles and had been active in Relay for Life in the past. She especially enjoyed visiting with family and friends and spending time with her great-nephew, Milez.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmie Gamblian; her stepmother, Lavita Gamblian; her stepfather, Richard “Tiny” Dickens; a sister, Debbie Gamblian; a stepbrother, Randy Dickens; and three nephews.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
