Obituary for Elmer Gene Peavy
A memorial service for Elmer Gene Peavy of Cordele will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Rainey Family Funeral Services. The family will greet friends following the service. Mr. Peavy, 72, died February 12, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Ellaville and was the son of the late Leondus 'Lee' Lucier Peavy and Ollie Dell Phillips Peavy. Mr. Peavy was a veteran of the United States Army and a retired auto mechanic. He is survived by his wife, Karen Peavy of Cordele; five children, Kenneth Adam Peavy and Phyllis Ann Peavy, both of Cordele, Ricky Brannen Peavy and his wife, Melissa of Jacksonville, FL, Connie Peavy of Rochelle and Dave Samuel Christopher Peavy of Butler; and a daughter-in-law, Susan Peavy of Cordele. He was preceded in death by a son, Ben Peavy.
