Brownie Pauline Pomeroy
Billings--Former Havre resident, Brownie Pauline (Blue) Pomeroy, 97, who was a church pianist in Havre for many years, died Saturday of natural causes at a Billings care facility.
Her funeral is at 1 p.m. Saturday at Assembly of God Church in Havre, with burial in Hill County Cemetery.
Survivors include children, Earl M. Pomeroy of Chester, Lyndon Pomeroy of Billings, Laverne L. Pomeroy of Carmichael, Calif., and Tivola P. Liedle of Billings; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earle Pomeroy.
She was born Aug. 1, 1904, to Benjamin Franklin Blue and Bertha Mae (Rinker) Blue near Peru, Indiana. In 1917 they moved to Richey, where she attended country school on Litz Creek. On Dec. 6, 1921, she was married to Earle B. Pomeroy in Glendive. They lived on the Pomeroy and Blue homesteads near Richey, and then moved back to Peru. In 1928, they moved back to Montana and in 1933 they moved to Havre, where she lived until moving to Billings on Dec. 6, 1998.
Brownie was an active member of the Assembly of God Church in Havre and was the church pianist for many years. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, traveling and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Besse and Blanche.
