Requiem high mass for Thomas J. Murphy, manager of West View Park for 33 years and past manager of the old Calhoun and Southern Parks, will be sung Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Cathedral. Mr. Murphy died Friday, Dec. 29, 1939, at his home, 311 Halket St.Mr. Murphy, a native of Pittsburgh, was 57. He was a member of St. Paul's Cathedral and the Oakland Board of Trade. He became manager of West View Park when it was operated by the Pittsburgh Railways Co. and continued when these enterprises became independently operated.
Mr. Murphy is survived by his widow, Margaret L. Enright Murphy; two sons, Lawrence and John, a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Crawford, and a grandson.The body is at the John A. Freyvogel Chapel, 3406 Fifth Ave.
