Mr. and Mrs. Henry A. Allwein, of 823 Mifflin Street, on Friday evening received a dispatch from Philadelphia, conveying the news of the sudden death of their son, Andrew Allwein. Few details were given and a brother has gone to the Quaker City for the purpose of learning more about it. Mr. Allwein was known to be ill tor some weeks, but his condition was such as to not excite any alarm, and the news of his death was therefore received here with shocking suddenness. Mr. Allwein formerly resided here, but went to Philadelphia about twenty years ago, having been employed there ever since as a patternmaker. During his residence at Philadelphia, he was married to Miss Catherine Dunn, who survives him. There are no children. Besides the parents, he also leaves these sisters and a brother, Sister Christopher, ini a Baltimore Convent; Sister Jeanette, in Wilmington Convent; Mrs. William Lenich, Miss Agnes, Miss Regina and Miss Cora, and the bother, Francis. The body is to be brought here on Monday afternoon on the 1:05 flyer. Arrangements for the burial at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery will be announced in the NEWS on Monday.
