Harry L. Hoffman, of Beloit, died on March 26, 1996 at Beloit Memorial Hospital. He was born in Merrill, WI on November 29, 1929 the son of Clifford and Mildred Munroe Hoffman. He married Sally Rumary in Merrill on June 30, 1951. She survives. Harry was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War serving from 1951 to 1953. Prior to his retirement in March of 1992, he was a welder at the Beloit Corporation for 38 years. He was a member of the Beloit Corporation Quarter Century Club, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #191 in Beloit, past president of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers #1197. He enjoyed fishing, and relaxing at his summer trailer in Bagley. Harry was a very loving and caring son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother and will be sadly missed. Survivors include his wife Sally, Beloit; four daughters; two sons; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his father Clifford Hoffman of Merrill. He is further survived by six sisters; two brothers; a sister in law, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, a sister Clara Hoffman, a brother Harold Hoffman and a grandson Alan Martin. Funeral services were held on Friday, March 29, 1996 at the Daley-Murphy-Wisch and Associates Funeral Home in Beloit. Pastor David Clark of Central Christian Church officiated. Burial took place at East Lawn Cemetery, Beloit.
