Stanley W. Abbott, a retired grocer, died Tuesday at a Dallas hospital. He was 78.
Funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow at Greenwood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Abbott was born in Buena Vista, Tenn., and came to Texas when he was in the Army during World War II. He remained in Fort Worth after discharge and operated grocery stores on Central Avenue and May Street until retiring about 12 years ago. Mr. Abbott was a member of Hallmark Baptist Church.
Survivors: Wife, Mina Josephine Abbott of Fort Worth; one son, Clarence Stanley Abbott of Fort Worth; and one sister, Era Tunnell of Arlington.
