Mrs. Louis Brummond, 69, 709 W. Eastern Ave., a Janesville resident for 55 years, died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in Mercy Hospital following a brief illness. The former Elizabeth Berger, daughter of August and Wilhelmina Steffen Berger, was born, in Winona, Minn., Jan. 21, 1886. She was married to Louis Brummond in St. John's Lutheran Church March 15, 1905. Mr. Brummond died April 30, 1952, and a daughter also preceded her in death. Mrs. Brummond was an active member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and of Crystal Camp, Royal Neighbors. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Everson, Beloit, and Mrs. Luella Wood, Janesville; two sons, Victor and Roger Brummond, both of Janesville; six grandchildren; two sisters. Mrs. Anna Klemp and Mrs. Alice Graves, both of Janesville; three brothers. Otto Berger, Milwaukee, William and Harry Berger, both of Janesville. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in St. Peter's Church, the Rev. H.C. Milius, St. John's Church, officiating in the absence of the pastor, the Rev. H.C. Rex, who is on vacation. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetjery. Friends may call at the Krueger Funeral Home this evening and at the church Thursday noon until the funeral hour. Crystal Camp. Royal Neighbors will meet at the funeral home at 7 this evening.
