Carrie was born June 23, 1930 in Allensburg, Ohio and passed away at her home with her family at her side on May 17, 2015. She was 84 years old. She was the daughter of Frank Leslie and Myrtle Lee Evans Henderson. Carrie was raised in the Allensburg community by her loving grandparents Carey (Pa) and Verda (Ma) Hawk Henderson. Carrie was a 1948 graduate of Lynchburg High School. Carrie started her working career at the VA Hospital in Dayton in 1948 and then moved on to work for the Defense Electronic Supply Center (DESC) for 27 years retiring in 1991. Carrie was loved by all for her smile and warm heart. She loved all children but loved her daughters and grandchildren most. She never missed any of their sporting events, awards ceremonies, or special events of any kind. She loved basketball and playing cards. Carrie was a member of the Allensburg Church of Christ since 1942. She is survived by her husband Philip R. Cloud, whom she married Oct. 7, 1961 in Allensburg, Ohio. She is also survived by her two daughters, Beth Ann (Danny) Brooks of Lynchburg, Amy Jo Cloud of Lebanon, three grandchildren, Tiffany Norris of Lynchburg, Carrie Lynnette (Nick) Koso of Falls City, Nebraska and Tyler (Chelsey) Cloud of Ft. Riley, Kansas, one great-granddaughter, Brianna Wilson of Lynchburg, two sisters, Valadine (James) Hamilton of Beavercreek and Darlene (Duke) O'Reilly of Vandalia, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, paternal grandparents Carey and Verda Hawk Henderson, maternal grandparents Grant and Henrietta Tincher Evans, a sister Loretta Jean Perry, a brother Russell LeRoy Henderson and a great grandson, Mason Pack. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 21st at the Allensburg Church of Christ. Bob Stevens will officiate. Burial will follow in the Barnes Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday form 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Allensburg Church of Christ.
