DURRETT - James T., "Jack," 81, of Louisville, died Wednesday [May 25, 2005] at Baptist Hospital East. He was the owner and operator of Jack Durrett & Sons Builder and Developers, a US Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Jeffersontown Chamber of Commerce, Knights of Columbus, Homebuilders Association of Louisville, Masonic Lodge #225, Richmond Boat Club and numerous service and civic clubs. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Virginia G. "Jen" Durrett; four sons, Douglas T. "Doug" (Esther), Robert B. "Bob" (Rhonda), Gerald D. "Jerry" (Pattie), and J. Kevin Durrett (Nancy); a brother, Bob Durrett (Linda); and five grandchildren, Jaclyn Tayler, Chase Thomas, Madison Mackenzie, Zackary and Carmen Durrett. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael Catholic Church, 12707 Taylorsville Rd., with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 3-9 p.m. Friday at Ratterman & Sons, 3800 Bardstown Rd. Memorial gifts may be made to Kosair Charities.
