Alabama, and was eighty years of age. She was possessed of many admirable
traits of character, and was held in the love and esteem of many friends
throughout this community. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. J. A. Helms,
of East Palatka, and Mrs. J. W. Deats, of New Smyrna, and by three sons, S. W.
Hightower, of Brundidge, Ala., W. E. Hightower, of Brooksville, Miss., and J. B.
Hightower, of New Smyrna.
The remains were forwarded to the old family home, Brundidge, Ala., where the
funeral was held Sunday morning from the Methodist Church; the interment being
in the family section of Brundidge Cemetery. (Times-Herald Obituary dtd Friday,
