Sharna was born at 6.05 pm at Invercargill Hospital New Zealand.

She was my first Child and as it came to be in the following years my only child.

Being a Single Parent didn't matter, Sharna grew up with the most loving people and friends anyone could hope to start life with. 2 Aunties and 2 Uncles and all there Friends. You couldn't wish for a better bunch of people.

She was so spoilt !! Some my fault some Aunty Tarns, but you just couldn't help it. She was so cute and so fat, it was just like her little fingers and toes were screwed into place.

Noel came into our lives when Sharna was just over 2. He treated her as she was his own and then she found out how to make daddy do want she wanted. Daddy's little girl. If I didn't give her what she wanted she would try it on Noel. And so it became the rest of our lifes. Noel and I split up after about 9 - 10 years later, but that didn't matter anything to them, they stayed close and always talked or Sharna went to stay during School Holidays. When she cracked a fit, she would ring and complain about me to Noel, if she was up staying with Noel, she would ring and complain to me about him.

We moved to Australia and meet another wonderful lot of Friends and my nice Stewart Australian Family. Sharna was a Soical Animal by then and would stop and talk to anyone that would listen. Do the rounds of all the People in the Caravan Park and have countless meals with everyone. She had Adopted Grandparents in Bev and Bob. Aunties Uncles and Cousins.

Sharna had not long turned 12 when Noel and I split up and as always we run to Sharon. From Sharon we went and settled in Perth.

Sharna was Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in October 1998. She had a hard time coming to terms with that. How could anyone do something that bad to a child, give them Diabetes, Periods and Pimples all at the same time. She felt like she was robbed everything she liked, she still enjoyed things she really shouldn't of. She had Junk Food days once a month, she stuffed as much sugar loaded food into her system at once and not upset her levels to bad.

I met and Married a man called Baden. Sharna and Baden got along ok, but he wasn't Noel, but in the end I think Sharna knew Baden would always be there for me and he loved both of us and would do anything for us. When baden had time off work, him and Sharna would hit the shops, go out to lunch and just spend some time together.

Sharna's Last Visit to her Diabetes Clinic was a good one. They were happy with her levels and everything was heading in the right direction. She was on top of the world and rung everyone to let them know.

I remember the last time I saw Sharna, I left her in Perth at the Train Station to go stay with friends for the weeknd. She was meant to be home Monday, but rung and told me she would meet me after work on Tuesday and we would go home together. That never happened.

I got a phone call Tuesday at work telling me that Sharna has Passed away. The Pain isn't like anything you can explain. And I carry it around with me everyday. I put on a good outside cover, but underneath, I am dying.
