Greenville - Mrs. Henry (Gertrude E. Peterson) Langel, 90, of Greenville, formerly of Pocahontas, died 4:50 a.m. Sunday (June 5, 1988) in the Extended Care Unit of Utlaut Memorial Hospital, Greenville. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Dewey-Schildknecht Funeral Home, Greenville, with visitation 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Robinson Cemetery, Pocahontas. Memorials: Heart Fund.Mrs. Langel was born in Bond County, daughter of David and Rebecca Peterson. She was a member of the Church of Chris, Ripley. She married Henry S. Langel in 1915. He died in 1920. Surviving are her son, Melvin E. of rural Keysport; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren. Two sons and five sisters preceded her in death.
