Andrea "Andy" Temple Dykes Davis, age 58, of Knoxville, went home to be with her heavenly father after a battle with cancer, she died peacefully in her sleep on Monday May, 18th. Andy was truly one of a kind. She loved deeply, laughed often and her infectious personality will leave a lasting impact on all that knew her. She was a loving mother, wife, sister, daughter (in law), and a loyal friend always eager to help others before herself. She was a great cook always providing her signature dishes to those that she loved, apple pie for Mimi and Pawpaw, Spaghetti for Steph, bread for Hailey, and every cut of meat under the sun for Scooter and Gracie. Her sense of humor could lighten any mood and will now provide endless memories for her family and friends. She enjoyed boating with friends on the lake, relaxing on her back porch, and reminiscing about the past. Andy would say her greatest gift was her two daughters whom she loved more than words and who loved her just as much in return. Andy was born in Washington DC but moved as a young child to Knoxville where she spent the remainder of her life. She was a graduate of Bearden High School (1972) and the University of Tennessee. She married her high school sweetheart Stephen "Steve" Davis who she can now dance with again in the perfect skies of Heaven.

She is also preceded in death by her beloved father, John "Temple" Dykes. She is survived by her daughters Stephanie Carter Davis and Hailey Davis Threlkeld (husband Robert Michael Threlkeld). Others survivors include sisters, Lisa Steele (husband J.L Steele), Trish Griffith (husband Doug Griffith), Mother Marilyn Dykes; mother and father in law Evelyn M Davis and Lloyd C Davis, MD; brother and sister in law L.C. and Suzanne Davis; nieces and nephews Jessie and Destiny Steele, Elizabeth and Catherine Davis, Lane, Ryan and Blair Griffith. And last but not least beloved grand dogs Scooter and Gracie who will greatly miss the generous hand of their beloved "Grandy". In lieu of flowers please donate to the Humane Society of TN.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 22, from 5:00 - 6:30 pm at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel and the celebration of Andy's life will immediately follow. A private interment will be held at Highland Memorial Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.rosemortuary.com. In honor of Andy's love for the Vols the family requests that everyone wear orange to the service on Friday evening.
