Marc Paul Wilson, age 68,of Rantoul,Illinois, passed away Monday, February 2, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.
A funeral service was held at 6:00 pm Friday, February 6, 2015 at Lux Memorial Chapel in Rantoul. Pastor Dave Perkins officiated. The family received friends from 4 to 6 pm on Friday prior to the service. Interment will be on June 20, 2015.
Marc was born October 13, 1946 in Paxton, Illinois, the son of Roy D. and Irene Rigaumont Wilson. He served with the United States Navy as an MM3 1964 to 1969. He was a member of the Ludlow American Legion. Marc married Sandra Berry his high school sweetheart July 4, 1968. He was an independent truck driver and shared the road and its adventures with his family. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and a brother, Eddy R. Wilson.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra E. Berry Wilson of Rantoul: mother-in-law, Mildred Sussen of Urbana, Illinois: daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Ray Lester of Dawsonville, Georgia: son and fiancé, Joe Wilson and Autumn Sparling of Thomasboro, Il; grandchildren; Casey Tomes, Matthew Thomas, Erin Lester, Jacob Wilson, Jarod Wilson, Steven Ray Lester great-grand children, Westin, Bentlee, Christina, Levi and Kelly; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Patty Wilson; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Peter Geoghegan; sister, Sandra Anne Wilson; and sister-in-law, Joane Wilson; uncle and aunt,Robert and Ruth Wilson; aunt, Jean Wilson; Many nieces and nephews and other family and friends. And his special granddog, Anna Belle.
