ERNEST BECK
Death came to Ernest Monroe Beck, 90, of route two, Carey, Tuesday, March 16, 1971, at Indian Trail Nursing Home, where he had resided for the past year.
Son of Marion and Rose (Updegraff) Beck he was born July 8, 1880, in Wyandot County. He was preceded in death by three wives; Alice Tong, Lida McCleary and Rena McDaniel. He is survived by his fourth wife, Rae Henkle.
Also surviving are sons, Nial, Toledo; Howard, Carey; Paul. Wharton, and Raymond, Findlay; daughters, Mrs Bryon (Pauline) Filhart, Jenera; Mrs Howard (Esther) Fry and Mrs. Harry (Donna) Walter, both of Findlay, and Mrs. Harold (Doris) Walter, Todd, North Carolina. 35 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Harry (Ethel) Bame, Mr. Blanchard.
One brother and two sister are deceased.
Mr. Beck was a retired saw mill operator. He attended the Wharton Church of God and was a member of the Carey Masonic Blur Lodge.
Services were held in the Bristoll Funeral Home with the Rev. David Cole officiating. Interment was in Zion Bloom Cemetery, south of Vanlue.
