Final rites for Mrs. Virginia Rose Shafer, 60, will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Austinville Baptist Church. Mrs. Shafer, died Tuesday night at her home in Somerville following a heart attack.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Shafer; three daughters; Mrs. Martha Stem, Camp Campbell, Ky; Mrs. Frances Wade of Decatur; and Mrs. Margaret Dodd of Chattanooga.
Other immediate survivors include her mother, Mrs. Molly Baker Rose, Somerville; a brother, Leonard Rose of Spartanburg, S.C. and a sister, Mrs. Clyde Roberts, of Pensacola, Fla. Also surviving are six grandchildren.
Mrs. Shafer, was born in Limestone county. She has been an active member of the Austinville Baptist Church for the past 23 years.
Burial will follow the services in the city cemetery, Brown directing.
