Mr. Richard Anthony, 72, of Mauk, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, May 21, 2015. Funeral services will be held at New Life Freewill Baptist Church on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jimmy Stubbs and Rev. David Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Level Cemetery.

Mr. Anthony was born November 12, 1942 in Talbot County, GA to the late J.B. Anthony and Mary Vernelle O’Hearn Anthony. He was a member and deacon at New Life Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Anthony was an avid raccoon hunter and fisherman. He retired as a supervisor at Unimin Corporation after 38 years of service. Mr. Anthony was also the caretaker of Pine Level Cemetery. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Anthony and a daughter, Angela Bone.

Survivors include his loving wife, Sara Anthony of Mauk, GA; two children, Rhonda Montgomery and her husband, Hank of Mauk, and Mark Anthony and his wife, Kristi of Mauk; five grandchildren, Meagan Andes and her husband, Josh, Mia Montgomery, Maci Montgomery, Kamryn Anthony and Kolby Anthony; two great-grandchildren, Collin Andes and Cale Andes; a sister, Brenda Wall of Mauk and several nieces and nephews.
