Dora Jane Adams, 79, 12003 45th Ave, W a lifelong resident of Cortez, died Thursday at Grovemont Nursing Home. A member of the Cortez Church of Christ, Mrs. Adams was recognized when during World War II, her six sons were all serving overseas at the same time.

Survivors include her six sons, William H. Adams, Leon H. Adams and Clayton Adams all of Cortez. Holmes Beach Police Chief Howard "Snooks" Adams, Cleveland T. Adams, Gardenia, California, and Clyde D. Adams, Lake Park; three daughters, Mrs. Pauline Forcke, Beaufort, SC, Mrs. Doris Green, Cortez and Mrs. Mable Hipp, Sarasota; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Henning, St. Petersburg, Mrs. Grace Guthrie and Mrs. Sally Moore, both of Cortez; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be today at 2 pm at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Bradenton, with Charles Greer, minister of the Church of Christ, officiating.
Burial will be at the Palma Sola Cemetery.

The family has requested that any contributions be made to Andrew Adams Memorial Fund at Manatee Junior College.
Pallbearers will be Ralph Fulford, Marshall Green, Charles Forcke, Ernest Adams, J.O. Guthrie, Jr. and Thomas Fulford.
