Little Bernice Lavell Armistead was born September 18, 1917, and departed this life June 14, 1919, being 1 year, 8 months, and 27 days old. A fair bud plucked from the garden of earth. When God saw that Little Lavell had suffered enough here in this world, He came and took her home to heaven. Weep not, dear parents, as those who have no hope, for the Master says: "Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of heaven." We don't believe that God made a mistake in taking the little children home first to make it brighter and bring more joy to the parents when they join them in the happy angels' band.

Dear parents, never again will you feel the inpress of Little Lavell's arms, but today she is singing around the great white throne of God, waiting for the coming of her parents and loved ones. A loving one from us is gone; a voice we loved is stilled; a vacant place is in the home which never can be filled.

Let's all pray for Brother and Sister Armistead and children that they may so live in this world that when God sees fit to call them home from this old earth they will meet Little Lavell in the great beyond where there will be no sad partings.

Services were conducted by Rev. P.L. Vaden, and the remains were laid to rest in the Mack Vaden grave yard in the presence of a number of sorrowing relatives and friends.
