Aaron Rites
Funeral services were held today, Friday, at 2 p.m. from the Finch funeral chapel in Nixon for John Monroe Aaron, 91, who died in Memorial Hospital Thursday.
Dr. Elmer Hierholzer and the Rev. Dempsey Simmons conducted the last rites with burial in the Leesville cemetery.
Mr. Aaron was born in Belmont on August 19, 1889, the son of John S. and Madora Morrison Aaron. He was a farmer and rancher in the Leesville community and a member of the Methodist church. He was married to Clara Brown.
Survivors include two daughters, Vera Norris of Lessville, Annie Lou Aaron of San Antonio; one son, Arthur Aaron of Houston; one sister, Millie Lee Zimmerman of Rotan; one granddaughter, Sylvia Stribling of Houston, and one great-grandchild.
