The victim was Marvin Propson, 19, son of Mrs. Amelia Propson of R. 1, Hilbert. His father was the late Elmer Propson.
Mrs. Propson was notified late Monday that her son, who had been in military service less than eight months was killed Nov. 1.
Propson entered the Army last February, trained at Fort Knox, Ky., and was sent to Vietnam in July after spending a two-week furlough at his home.
The Propson youth, a 1967 graduate of Hilbert High School, had worked at the Ariens Co. at Brillion until he entered service.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by seven brothers and sisters, Mrs. Arvid Amel and Mrs. Kenneth Bodinger of rural Chilton, Mrs. Nicolas Franzen of Kiel, Raymond, Ralph and Kenneth, all of the Hilbert area, and Gary at home.
