J. B. Barnes, age 75 of Pearland, Texas passed away Sunday, June 25, 2006 at his residence.
J. B. was born on Sept. 17, 1930 in Chewalla, Tennessee, and was a resident of Pearland for 34 years. He was in the petroleum business and a member of the Baptist faith.
J.B. was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Lola Barnes.
J. B. is survived by his wife, Dorothy Barnes of Pearland, daughter, Susan McCarley and husband, Jim of Pearland; son James B. Barnes and wife, Sheree of Pearland; brother Arnet Barnes and wife, Treva of Corinth, Mississippi; grandchildren Krista, Jared, Jill, Janna and Joel; great-grandchildren Shelby, Caleb and Cassidy; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Wednesday, June 28, at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin. Funeral services will be on Thursday, June 29, at Scott Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Richardson officiating and assisted by Jack Manley. Interment will follow at Southpark Cemetery, Pearland.
