The former Anna Kurtz was born Jan. 24, 1889, at Ackerville, Washington County, and married Christ Wellhoefer on Nov. 5, 1913, at Ackerville. He died June 8, 1965. After their marriage the couple lived on a farm in the town of Day, Marathon County. Since retirement they had been living with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Ohm at Rt. 1, Auburndale.
Survivors include their daughter; a son, Walter, Rt. 3, Stratford; a sister, Miss Frieda Kurtz, West Bend; and three brothers, Edward, Hugo and Emil, all of West Bend; and two grandchildren. She was a member of St. Paul's Ladies' Aid.
Friends may call at Hansen Chapel, Marshfield, after 2 p.m. Tuesday and at the church after 11 a.m. Wednesday.
