James Andrew "Jimmy" Duke Died Saturday, May 23, 2015, at the Baptist Hospital - Memphis.

He was Sixty-One.

A Lifelong Resident of Oxford.

He was the Son of Peggy Duke Lamb and the late Homer C. Duke, Jr., and was the Adopted Son of the late William R. Lamb.

Jimmy was a Graduate of College Hill Academy and attended Northwest Jr. College and the University of Mississippi.

He Devoted the Past Thirty-Two Years in Service to others as a Registered Nurse at Baptist Memorial Hospital North MS in Oxford.

An Avid Hunter and Fisherman, he was Happiest Spending Time in the Outdoors.

He is survived by his Mother, Peggy Duke Lamb; his Brother, William K. Duke and Wife, Betty; his Sister, Elizabeth Duke Hellmann of Fairfax, Virginia; two Nieces and two Nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00, Wednesday, May 27, 2015, in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with The Reverend Ann Whitaker Officiating.

Visitation will be Prior to the Service from 12:30-2:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
A Private Graveside Service will be held at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

As a Memorial to Jim, his Mother Requests that his Friends Remember Him with a Prayer of Thanksgiving for his Life.

Additionally, Memorials may be made in his Honor to Interfaith Compassion Ministry, 904 North Lamar, Oxford, MS 38655; or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
