Haywood and Mary being Christians, reared Betty and all their children using the teachings of Jesus Christ. Betty accepted the lord at an early age, She joined Calvary Baptist Church where she remained faithful serving as a Clerk, Choir and Sunshine Club Member.
Betty was a very intelligent and caring person who was loved by many. She attended Meriwether County School System where she graduated the Valedictorian of her high school class of 1968. She continued her education at Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Ga. where she received her Master Degree in Education. She was a educator in Meriwether and Talbot County School System for over 25 years.
Betty was united in Marriage to Darthus Ellison Jr. on 25 June 1972. From this union two children was born Darthus III and Keith.
The time has come for my departure: I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness which the Lord the Righteous judge will award me on that day.
On Saturday, February 4th, 2012, Betty Sue received her wings and flew home to be with the Lord.
Her heavenly home going was preceded by her mother: Mary Susan Daniel, father: Haywood Daniel.
SHE WILL BE DEEPLY MISSED.
