son of Benjamin and Jane.

I believe that this is the same James Burns Williams Sr. that is included on his wife and son's gravestone in the Maple Grove Cemetery. This probably his original burial in 1872, on his parents ground. His wife Prudence died in Islesboro 34 years later at the age of 86.

Gravestone was recorded in the "History of Islesborough", by John Farrow, 1893. as being found on the "headland on the north side of Crow Cove" on land owned by Captain Benjamin Williams. This was an early burying ground used for more than a century. It is now called Burying Point.
