Lou Ree Pierce, age 92, of Murfreesboro died Monday, May 25, 2015 at her home. She was a native of Green Creek, NC and the daughter of the late Noah Webster and Ethel Ezell Cantrell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Wesley Pierce and brothers, Dean and Wesley Cantrell.

Mrs. Pierce was a loving mother and homemaker, an active member of Hillview Baptist Church, a retired dietician and school teacher, and a graduate of East Carolina State University.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00pm Friday, May 29th at Hillview Baptist Church and one hour prior to the service on Saturday, May 30th.

Funeral service will be 3:00 pm Saturday at Hillview Baptist Church with Pastor Owen Ivery officiating. Burial will follow in Republican Grove Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Eric E. Pierce and his wife Judith of Amherst, VA, and Howard K. Pierce of Bremerton, WA; daughters, Nancy L. Gregory and her husband Michael of Nashville, and Catherine Pierce Sennyey and her husband Pongracz of Austin, TX; brother, Bruce Cantrell of Newport News, VA, and sister, Mildred Fridy of Spartanburg, SC; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the Hillview Baptist Church Building Fund, 3113 Lascassas Pike, Murfreesboro, TN 37130 in memory of Mrs. Pierce.
