Margaret Graham was the daughter of Archibald Graham and Martha Lyle. She married Samuel C. ("Couch") Robinson in Rockbridge Co., VA on 2 Aug 1849.

On the 1860 Richmond Ward 2, Henrico, VA census, I found lumber merchant Saml Robinson, 45; Margaret A Robinson, 34; A Graham Robinson, 10; Antonett Robinson, 6; Martha L Robinson, 4; William S Robinson, 2; Maggie G Robinson, 1/12; servants: Ellen Sheeran, 20 and Mary Hogan, 18, all VA born.

On the 1870 Richmond Madison Ward, Henrico, VA census, I found merchant iron (works or worker S C Robinson, 50; Maggie Robinson, 43; Graham Robinson, 20; Nettie Robinson, 16; Maggie Robinson, 10; Nancy Robinson, 8; Edward Robinson, 4; (male) Powhatan Robinson, 3; Lizzie Robinson, 2; cook Harriett Allen, 54 and nurse Divina Smith, 15, all VA born.

On the 1880 Natural Bridge, Rockbridge Co., VA census, I found farmer Archie Graham, 76; wife Martha Graham, 80; daughter Maggie Robinson, 50; son and farmer Arch Graham, 40; grandchildren:Maggie Robinson, 18; Nannie Robinson, 17; Edward T. Robinson, 14; Powhatan Robinson, 13 and Horace Lacy Robinson, 12, all VA born.

30 Sep 1893, son Powhattan Robinson, born in Richmond, VA, age 27, married Adeline Collins, born in NY, age 26, the daughter of Joseph Norris Collins and Harriett Rice, in Manhattan, NY.

Virginia Items: Mrs. Margaret Graham Robinson died at her residence, "Clover Hill," In Rockbridge, last week, In her 70th year she was the only daughter and oldest child of the late Dr. Archibald Graham, of Lexington. Per the Norfolk Landmark, Vol 41, #154, 29 Dec 1895.

Death of a Venerable Lady. Mrs. Margaret Graham Robinson died at her residence, "Clover Hill," in Rockbridge, on the 16th inst., in her seventieth year. She was the only daughter and oldest child of the late Dr. Archibald Graham of Lexington. She is survived by six children, among them Mr. A. Graham Robinson, formerly of Staunton and now of Tennessee, who, with four other of the children, was present at her funeral. Mrs. Robinson was the widow of the late Samuel Robinson, a former manager of Longdale Furnace. Per the Staunton Vindicator, Vol 50, #52, dated 27 Dec 1895 (see photo).

A Big Chancery Suit over the Wrecked Lexington Bank. A suit was brought at a special term of the Rockbridge Circuit Court, December 16th, by J. Iv. Edmondson, assignee of the wrecked Lexington Rank, against Chas. \V. Irvine & Co.,to recover the amount that it is claimed that firm overdrew its account in the bank. The suit involves about §50,000. Judge McLaughlin referred the case to Judge J. M. Quarles of Staunton, special commissioner. State Taxation for Road Purposes. On to-morrow, Saturday,
