Beatrice Bankston Dezendorf Painting, a retired school bus driver for the East Baton Rouge Parish school system and a resident of Zachary, was born April 3, 1927, and died Thursday, June 12, 2008. She was 81, a native of Loranger and a longtime former resident of Baton Rouge.

Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home, Zachary, until service, conducted by the Rev. Basil Wicker. Burial in Azalea Rest Cemetery, Zachary.

Survived by her three children, Diane Dezendorf DeLee and husband Johnny Ray DeLee and Albert "Bert" Sidney Dezendorf Jr., all of Ethel, and Susan Dezendorf Gorman, of Zachary; four grandchildren, Shane DeLee and Lacey and Jamie Dezendorf, all of Ethel, and Brittany Dezendorf, of Zachary; four great-grandchildren, Dylan, Damon and Demi DeLee, all of Ethel, and Ashley DeLee, of Denham Springs; sisters, Jessie B. Guedry, of Gonzales, Phyllis B. Stevens and husband Sam and Linda B. Vicaro, all of Baton Rouge; best friend, Audrey Calmes Lillie; and special niece, Michele Vicaro.

Preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Edna Dunnington Bankston; husbands, Albert Sidney Dezendorf and Cecil Painting; brother, Cleo Britton Bankston; sister, Barbara Null; and two grandsons, John Britton "Britt" DeLee and Casey Duane Gorman.
