A native of bluffton, Grace McCormick
Yates, 84, died Monday at Extended Care
Facility in Marion.
Born Jan. 22, 1916 in Bluffton to Roy and
Bessie Alice Yates McCormick, her first
marriage was to James Sutton, who died in
1980. A second marriage was to William L.
Yates of Jonesboro, who survives.
She was retired from Owens-Illinois Glass
Company in Gas City after 31 years of
service. She was a member of G.M.P Local
#37 Glass & Pottery and a member of the
Onized Club.
Surviving in addition to the husband are
a brother, Charles McCormick of Interlachen,
Fla., two sisters, Ruth Burkholder of
Wabash and Dorothy Vickers of Marion, several
nieces and nephews and a Sister-in-Law,
Helen McCormick of Gas City.
She was preceded in death by two sisters
and five brothers.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. Pastor
Mick Simpkins will officiate and burial
will be in Brookside Memorial Park in
Montpelier.
